Stuart has been Producing Film and TV content for over 20 years.
Stuart currently has a very active slate with projects scheduled to shoot in the UK/Spain/Arabia amongst which are the big budget action film ANTARA which Simon West (Tomb Raider, Con Air, Expendables 2) is Directing. In 2024 Stuart Co-Produced WE WERE THE LCUKY ONES for Fox/Disney. The story of a Jewish family determined to survive and reunite after being separated during World War II.
In 2022 Stuart Co-Produced KANDAHAR through his Celtic Arabia banner. The film stars Gerard Butler and is the story of a CIA operative fleeing from special forces in Afghanistan after his covert mission has its cover blown. Stuart was also the Producer for Spain on Showtime’s big budget remake of THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH, which is Exec Produced and Directed by Alex Kurtzman.
Other recent credits include being the UK Producer for Scott Free’s THE GOOD FIGHT, Executive Producer for TOP BOY and Producer of KILLING EVE series 3 & 4 for Spain.
Stuart also recently Produced CHAMPIONS (an Arabic remake of the Spanish box office hit of the same name) and Produced BORN A KING. Costing over $20m, BORN A KING was directed by Agustí Villaronga (Cannes winner and Spanish nominee for the Oscars). The film is an extraordinary true story set in 1919. A 14 year old Arab Prince is dispatched from the deserts of Arabia to London by his warrior father, on a high stakes diplomatic mission to secure the formation of his country.
Stuart has been running Celtic Entertainment since 2008. Celtic is one of the leading UK film and drama producers having produced many Prime Time shows such as THE SAINT, the multi award winning SHARPE TV series starring Sean Bean and the Emmy award winning HORNBLOWER TV series.
Stuart Produced his first feature film in 2001, a romantic comedy, GIRL FROM RIO, starring Hugh Laurie and Spanish star Santiago Segura which won Best International Film at the Hollywood Film festival.
Stuart then went on to Executive Producer the return of one of the UK’s best loved TV franchises, SHARPE. The SHARPE’S CHALLENGE and SHARPE’S PERIL mini-series which were both shot on location in India, averaged an audience of both of over 7 million viewers on ITV1.
Stuart then served as an Executive Producer on a number of films including A LONG WEEKEND, The COURIER starring Mickey Rourke and BAIT a shark thriller set in Australia which went on to become one of the 20 highest grossing movies in China of that year.
Via Celtic Stuart Line Produced and provided the production services for Russia’s legendary director, Vladimir Bortko’s $15m spy thriller SOUL OF A SPY. Through Celtic’s Indian office, Stuart Co-Produced the renowned Russian director Peter Buslov’s RODINA in 2014. Shot in Goa.
In 2017 Stuart was also the Line Producer for Spain for the Universal Studios produced EMERALD CITY directed by Tarsem; which was a big budget reworking of legendary Wizard Of Oz novels which aired on NBC.
Aside from his film and TV work Stuart has produced numerous TV commercials for such clients as CADBURY’S, HERO Motorbikes (Virat Kohli), GATORADE (Alexis Sanchez), SUZUKI cars, ULUDAG soft drinks, ZIRAAT BANK, CARLTON LUGGAGE, UTI BANK, VOGUE magazine and numerous other brands.
Stuart is a voting BAFTA member and holds a BA (honours) degree from The European Business School (London) in International Business Administration, and has undertaken extension courses in Film Finance and Producing for Television at UCLA.
